June 5, 6 & 7 have been selected as the dates for the opening weekend of the 2009 Ocean State Senior Olympics. Events will include the Opening Ceremonies and Celebration of Athletes as well as Archery, Basketball, Cycling, Swimming and Track & Field competitions.

DEADLINE EXTENSION for The 2009 NATIONAL SENIOR GAMES
Registration for the National Senior Summer Games to be held in San Francisco has been extended to Friday, May 15th. In addition, the registration late fee has been waived. Anyone who has participated and finished an event in the 2008 ocean State Senior Olympics is eligible to register and participate in the 2009
National Senior Games.
Golfers still only qualify by meeting the minimum performance standard. Team sports are still limited to 2 teams per age group.
